چکیده
This paper describes the results of radiation-induced crosslinking polysaccharides modified with hydroxypropyl and carboxymethyl functional groups, hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC) carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), respectively, without poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) as a agent, to obtain dual stimuli-responsive hydrogels. The gels were characterized in terms water uptake gel fraction, parameters that mainly depend on HPC–CMC compositions, but also macromer crosslinker content absorbed dose. swelling hydrogels is controlled by both temperature, due amphiphilic character HPC pH, anionic groups CMC. In spite similar degree substitution cellulose derivatives, 1.4 for 1.2 CMC, pH response an equal considerably higher—a reduction up 95% decrease 2 was recorded—than thermal-stimulus—wherein less than 70% increasing temperature 55 °C found. These biopolymers-based specific, properties are anticipated applications where combination two stimuli essential biodegradation may be required.

Autonomous microfluidics with stimuli-responsive hydrogels
There has been increasing interest in integrated microfluidic systems because performing biological and chemical laboratory tasks on a single chip is appealing. One straightforward approach to constructing these ‘lab on chips’ is to fabricate individual components and to assemble them for desired functionalities. As the functionalities of the microfluidic systems become increasingly complicated...
متن کاملStimuli-Responsive Dipeptide-Protein Hydrogels through Schiff Base Coassembly.
Different from the conventional irreversible covalent conjugations, a simple and efficient dynamic Schiff base covalent assembly is developed to construct the stable and smart dipeptide-protein hydrogels under mild conditions. Diphenylalanine-hemoglobin hydrogel is chosen to investigate the gelation formation process and mechanism. It is found that such assembled dipeptide-protein hydrogels are...

Many kinds of stimuli-responsive polymer gels that respond to the change in their surroundings such as solvent composition, temperature, pH, and supply of electric field have been developed. They are of interest as intelligent (or smart, biomimetic) materials which have sensor, processor, and actuator functions. This article is related to stimuliresponsive gels and their application for bioor b...
متن کاملMultiple Stimuli-Responsive Hydrogels for Metal-Based Drug Therapy
A series of homopolymeric and copolymeric hydrogels containing the N-isopropylacrylamide and vinyl monomers with α-amino acid (L-valine and L-phenylalanine) residues have been synthesized and their swelling properties were evaluated under different external stimulations. The hydrogels, obtained with different cross-linking agents (EBA and PEG-DA), have shown unique properties such as biocompati...
